Unfortunately I'm low...shank that is. I'm pretty sad about it because I found this pretty cool bias tape binding presser foot in a small sewing supply store in Chelsea last week for only $12....alas it was for high shank sewing machines. My sewing machine came with a boat load of presser feet (of the snap-on kind) so I never checked my shank height until recently. In fact I didn't know how check until now. I'm sure its written somewhere in my machine manual but I learn more with Google which led me to this instruction on Nancy's Notions.
So I'm shopping for a low shank, adjustable, preferably snap-on bias binding presser foot in the $12 price range (I'm already over my May sewing budget). I'm thinking about getting this one. Can anyone offer a recommendation? I'm interested in upping my Hong Kong finish game.

I wish I could help, but so new to accessories for sewing machines and looking forward to responses. However, your post helped me determine that my shank is low.
thanks for sharing this info. I learned something about my machine tonight.
I have the exact same foot that you're showing and am very pleased with it. It is great for bias binding and unlike the bias foot bought purposely for my machine, it is great for foldover elastic or knit band binding as well. I love it and recommend it!
I have that same foot and I LOVE it.
Hmm, I may need that foot too! I've ordered feet from this website and found them to be the cheapest overall with shipping. http://www.sewexcited.com/item0e3a0e3a.html?PRID=1062456
The images don't seem to be working today, but I can recommend the site and service.
Thanks I needed that information too.
Hey, remember the special feet i'm acquiring. Maybe you can use those instead. They can be used on any machine.
